Accessibility – WCAG

Course overview

The accessibility directive that came from the EU became Swedish law a few years ago and applies to the public sector. On June 28, 2025, the new version of the law will enter into force and now also applies to the private sector, especially digital communication and e-commerce. It will, of course, place greater demands on companies to ensure that their websites, products and services are accessible and meet the new EU requirements. Should they not do this, they risk fines and that the service or product is removed from the market. In addition, it does not point out individual types of actors, but products and services. When it comes to products, all economic actors in the supply chain are responsible for availability, from manufacturers, importers and representatives to distributors.

This introductory course provides participants with basic knowledge of digital accessibility, be it web, apps or other products and services, of guidelines as well as legislation and relevant policy decisions.

It also has a practically-oriented part that gives you an insight into how to work with accessibility and what other resources and tools are available.
